Kirtan class announcement

Kirtan Classes starting February 1 at GNFA on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday evenings in preparation for the Washington Capital Kirtan Sammelan to be held at GNFA on Saturday, May 28, 2016, 9:30 am- 6:30 pm. Jathas will compete in four age categories (age on Dec 31, 2015);

Junior: 7-10 years

Intermediate: 11-14 years

Senior: 15-18 years

Advanced: 19-25 years.

Please submit names of participants and the kirtan class time slot you wish for your jatha to Bhai Sahib as soon as possible. A jatha must have a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 8 members.

GNFA Merit Award & Graduates Recognition – 2015


On July 26th, GNFA Chairperson, Dr. Darshan Singh Saluja presented $2,000 Merit

Award to Jaskeerat Kaur, who will continue her education for Bachelor of Science

degree in the field of Public Health and Pre-med Studies at the University of

Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC). UMBC is an American public research and

honors university, located in Baltimore County, Maryland. .

Our congratulations go to Jaskeerat Kaur who is the daughter of Tajinder Kaur and

Gurvinder Singh Ahluwalia.

GNFA Youth Merit Award and Graduate Recognition – 2015


  1. GNFA is pleased to announce its 2015 Youth merit award of $2,000 to a college bound HS Senior. Please read the attached compliance criteria and submit the application form no later than Sunday, July 19, 2015. A panel of Judges will interview and pick up the candidate on Saturday, July 25th. Merit Award will be presented on Sunday, July 26th in the afternoon Diwan.
  2. GNFA will also recognize all 2015 High School and College graduates of GNFA Community on Sunday, July 26th. Please forward your name with e-mail address to Gajinder Singh ASAP.
