Please read the attached compliance criteria and submit the application form no later than July 16, 2017. - One page write up of community service and participation in: (a) GNFA and (b) outside of GNFA
- On Saturday, July 22ndyou will write a 500 words, extempore, Sikhi related essay, and a panel of Judges will interview and pick up the Merit Award Winner. The award will be presented in the afternoon Diwaan of Sunday, July 23rd.
- GNFA will also recognize all 2017 High School and College graduatesofGNFA Community on Sunday, July 23th in the afternoon Diwan (your presence is required). Please reply this e-mail and forward your name to Gajinder Singh ASAP.

The Maryland State Health Benefit Exchange has appointed American Indian Community Service (AICS) as a counselor and enroller for the Affordable Care Act health insurance enrollments. AICS will be at GNFA lobby at the times specified above. Open enrollment season runs from November 1, 2016 to January 31, 2017. To have your coverage start on January 1, enroll by December 15. Trained and certified counselors will help you enroll in Qualified Health Plans, Medicaid, and CHIPS program. Counseling is available to Medicare eligible or Medicare enrolled members as well. AICS associates will help you compare plans and prices.

GNFA is pleased to announce that Bhai Baldeep Singh will be offering kirtan seva at GNFA this Friday and Sunday.
Bhai Baldeep Singh descends from a long line of masters of the Gurbāni Kīrtan maryadā and today is its thirteenth generation exponent. His repertoire includes purātan rīts sung by the Sikh Gurus and Bhagats themselves. Bhai Baldeep Singh is also the khalifā of the Sultanpur Lodhi – Amritsari Bāj of mridang playing, a luthier who has personally revived the making and playing techniques of the tāus, saranda, rabāb, and jorī, and founding chairman of the Anād Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to the promotion and preservation of South Asia’s intangible cultural traditions.
